I've read for hours about various species that I may want in my tank, but articles only give info about how *to* breed fish, not how to *prevent* them from breeding. I don't want to deal with fry in my tank, so I'm hesitant to get fish for fear that they'll breed. And so many fish are only happy with mixed genders in the tank, or they're so hard to sex you can't guarantee that you're getting all one gender.
What types of male/female combos won't likely breed in a community tank? Or what can I keep one gender of? Or maybe just keep one of a species? I have just one Dwarf Neon Rainbow fish and she seems ok as the only Rainbowfish. I would like some other types of Rainbow fish but I've heard that they will interbreed. I go to the lfs and am frozen when I try to choose something.
Thanks,
Zambize
