THey have a waiting list for people. Lets say Im a canadian, I have cancer I go for a simple test I have to wait months By then ITs type 4 and a week later I die. THey had a poll only 12% of people who have cancer surivive.

You have to wait with most US insurance plans anyway. I waited 5 months to get knee surgery after I blew out my knee, and I couldn't walk, I couldn't work, and the knee dislocated about 15 times in that period and I was immidiately on the ground in immense pain.
Something has to be done about these corrupt insurance companies, and though I'm not 100% for Obama's policies, The US is the only western nation in the world without healthcare for everyone.
Corperate greed is out of control, and I think we need some kind of government help for healthcare. There are a LOT of lies and scare based info going around designed to keep the rich rich and the poor fucked.

I and my wife have said................If Obama never passes a bill, or piece of legislature addressing anything and spends his term or terms doing nothing but going over the books of every congresman and senator weeding out coruptness and money hand shaking and pocket lining by target focused pundants, this incredably great nation would be debt free in months.............not years.................not terms..................not decades - MONTHS
and if that were to happen we would have the ability to save and have a functioning welfare system, which when ran correctly is needed, a safe and working health care system which when ran correctly is needed, a just and fair banking sytem which when ran corectly is needed - --etc etc etc......................but until that happens, no matter what bills and projects are passed and established by democrats, repubicans mcCarthists, socialists what ever, will simply be a shiny finish on a pile of shit......................................and no matter what, how or when you look at it .......................its a pile of shiny shit

No Boss, you seem to know this buisness better than I by far.
All I want to do is finally get my new career started working alongside doctors and nurses helping people stay alive, get born, or die as comfortably and cared for as possible.
I get too worked up thinking about how screwed up just this country is with education being way behind compaired to most other westernised countries.
I spent a few years hoping to help turn the life of a beautiful woman I met who was going in the wrong direction fast. She grew up with no positive male role models, and even her church minister molested her. She lives in a halfway house for poor women with children now.
I tried to help her as much as I could and she was going to ruin my life and that of my sonm's, so I had to let her go.

What does this have to do with anything? I'm just a hopless dreamer who wants to do something positive while I'm able, so that's why I'm working in healthcare. I'm not, and most of the people in the hospitals aren't, trying to scam the system.
When the dr hands me a newborn baby and we as RT's help it take it's first breaths I feel like I've done something positive, even if the mother ends up being a crappy parent.

man i cant imagine the pride and feeling of acomplishment in having a human take it's first breathe in my hands...............to wonder where he or she will end up 70-80-90 - 100 years from that moment is a thought that cant even be comprehended ....WOW man
i didnt mean to come off as the entire health system is bunk, or even the banking industry or oil industry for that matter..................unfortunatly i think the coruptness has all but extinguished the good in any of these fields though and its sad because their are those like you and most of the Dr.s and nurses that are in the treches doing great things and fighting the good fight.............that is never a question and why we have a no turn down policy on health care in the nation...............its when the pen and paper get involved that everything goes into the crapper and all the little trolls want their cut of the pie while you try to do something good and when we feel better we arent thinking about how wonderful that RT PK was with our new baby we're sitting at the kitchen table wondering how we're going to pay the thousands of dollars we aren't covered for...................it's really sad that the system is stealing your and your collegues glory my friend, if you want to be mad ....be mad at that ......not weather or not your making a difference- - - - -im sure the world is a much better place because your in it my friend, i know i count myself lucky to even chat with ya bud

Oh well. I'm ready for bed..........but I think the public option is the only way to put some competitive squeeze on the insurance companies, who take your $$$ for years and then claim you're not eligable because you forgot you had acne treatment years before applying for the policy.
Why shouldn't the insurance companies pay back all the money the took from us if they are going to say you are to be cut? That should be law, and it's only fair if they drop you when you need the care over something most people who were starting a policy never thought was going to get them cut.
Insurance companies are in cahoots with most congressmen and that is why these congressmen/women aren't going for the public option and are spending millions to create scare and lie campains to stop it.
Capitalism atit's best requires that we have competing choices, and with the system the way it is, the insurance companies have a monopoly on this system.
Without the public option nothing will really change.

and just to clear everything up... the fish was very alive... as you can see he is looking down... whenever you pull a freshwater fish out of the water they will look down... i don't care if it's a guppy, goldfish, carp, tarpoon, or a cichlid... they will look down... also... that cichlid had his caudal fin held in... if it was dead and pulled out of the tank it would have a extended caudal fin... this fish was very much alive...
my point... i guess that the homophobic aid's infected penis wrinkle is half right... the fish is not dead but everyone should get over it...

Good to have you back Gumbii.
I just FINALLY made a "python" like hose system. I can do water changes really easy now and don't have to change hundreds of gallons a month 5 gallons at a time.
I saw some really thin flourescents bulbs that were like 37 and 54 watts (I think), depending on the bulb, at the hardware store. I have 3 of these very thin bulb fixtures I want to use these lights in, and the first one at like 22 inches didn't fit the length of what they had, but I have 3 other fixtures, so maybe I'll get some cheap higher wattage lights that fit and can grow plants.
I just thinned out my nicest planted tank and filled a paper grocery bag full of leaves and overgrown moss. It shoould look pretty nice in a few weeks......blah blah blah.
I'm currently using 4 $2 4 foot long flourescents for my 100 gallon and the plants are doing great. I love being able to use hardware lights to grow plants because I'm still struggling for $$$.
