I have some baby South American cichlids in a 40 gallon right now and I will be buying them a much larger home soon. right now I have 2 severums, 1 midas,1 green terror, and one black convict. when I upgrade the tank am I already going to be stocked or would I be able to add a few more fish?
any ideas would be greatly appreciated!
Thank You
H

if you go up to a 150 or a 200 gallon you should be able to add a few more fish, just remember to go by the one inch per gallon rule when it comes to larger cichlids i would give them 1 inch for two gallons just to make sure you have enough room for them so they don't crowd each other out and get into conflicts.
hope this helps

ps there is a tool on this site where you can go and figure out how many inches of fish per gallon that would be suitable for your tank size.

copy and paste that to your browser and it will give you the info you need
