I have a 36" casing with only 2 stock flourescents 25w each. 65 gallon. Im at the point in my research where I am going to change out the bulbs for something more appropriate. Any suggestions. I know I might have to change the ballasts. I was thinking an actinic combo. (down the road if i am informed enough i may only add live rock and a soft coral or 2. For the next few months it will be fo only)
if you want to change the ballast i wold buy a power compact kit 50/50 bulbs are nice .brings out all the color in fish/rocks/corals. + makes your water sparkle. if not you can buy too 1 50/50 and 1 actinic for the lights you have now . but it realy depends on what you like color wise . then base your coral selection on that!!
