Check out Filstar XP filters. I have a XP3 that I really like. You could probably use the XP2.

give more details on your setup.... types of fish, other filteration, live plants, etc?

I have two Rena Filstar canister filters and yea, they're great filters for a good price. If the XP3 isn't too much more than the XP2 I think you should get the XP3. Having a bigger filter is better than not. I actually use an XP3 on a 20 gallon and I have an under gravel filter.
