well i never heard of that problem yet but why dont you try placing the wood in boiling water for a while it might get rid of those spots hopefully |
(:0 how many times must I tell young people not to take driftwood out of their backward!!! Come on just go to petsmart and bye one!! plz so you dont have to waist your sorrow on us. Its probly eggs of who no whats and its going to kill all your fish, THE END. |
Do you have snails in your tank? I'm thinking it could be snail eggs. If so, they are harmless. |
I actually got it from petsmart as well as soaked it to get all the tannins out and all that. i do have one mystery snail but he/she is large not like these dots, they look like lice all over the wood. so i have taken it out of the tank for now. |

lol well thank for the defense everybody but should i boil the dritwood bc i tried to rinse and scrub the dots off and its not coming off. |
You can try boiling it. Also, if its too big for a pot, stick it in the dishwasher and run it thru so the hot water can kill off any unsavorys on it. Make sure the dishwasher is empty and don't use soap. I have done this a few times and it also helps blast a lot of the tannis out too. |

I have little white dots.....that move! I'm wondering what exactly they are. They live in the gravle, they seem to get thrown around the tank and stick to the walls and such. look like miniature maggots.
