I was at petland and I saw this cute little puffer and I had to get it. I think its called the spotted puffer' I read up and its great with African Chilids. Im planning to get a chilid tank of course in about the most a year. Any advise. Oh and its not brakish. Its debatable if its peaceful but the man at the storeput a rosy last weak and it was still alive. Oh and so far its fine

Next morning; o MY GOSH I woke up and I sow the puffer sleeping right next almost touching the Gourami, it fin are all in tact and so are the other fishes. The yo yo loaches evoied it like I dropped a shrimp pellet and they ate when the puffer came bye they swam away and he starred at the pellet then the loaches came back and chased him off. And I was watching him and he likes to get are gravel and turn it into dust ;O
should I be sared that he may use that to kill are fish. Over all he is doing fine. Thank you

I don't know anything about dwarf puffers except that they love snails and "can" be aggressive to other tankmates, though it seems that this is not a problem in your case.

ok obviously everyone's getting confused. GSP (filmoreslim) = Green Spotted Puffer = (mor2's) "Spotted Puffer". These are FW juveniles which in short time need to be converted to brackish.

Dwarf/Pygmy/Pea Puffers (PK and filmoreslim) are as the name implies.. permanently FW and their size makes them a bit more workable with tank mates..

I'm more informed and experienced with the latter.

brackish puffers should be maintained in a species tank... they are stupid fish that will bite at anything that moves...

i've seen people try to have a fuhaka puffer with cichlids just because they chill in the same lake... but they shouldn't be in the same tank...!
