Rate My Fish Tank

kind of new to this site and am looking for some advice on setting up substrant for a 75 gal planted tank. (not wanting to spend a fortune) I am familliar with seacem and their products, also have heard about a heater for roots and how it pulls down currents and nutrients in to the soil but all of this seams pricy. Whats your thoughts on this?

I always use Eco-complete substrate and a standard submersed heater and my results are fine. You can see my planted 55 gallon in my profile.
