hello people,
I had my first fish accident this weekend, while cleaning the tank and adding another powerhead my blue chromis freaked out and decided to make a run for it - ended up bouncing off a glass then onto the table THEN flopping off onto the floor - all in all about a 2000 foot fall in human measurment [seems like it anyway] I put him right back into the tank and after about a day he has developed a "pop eye" - -looks like he has an air bubble stuck behind his eye, making it bulge out. anybody seen this? and what happened? he seems ok otherwise, eating well, swimming around etc. etc.
On a different note - I am talking to my local plumber and he is doing some research on RO systems for me and seems to think I can get into a unit that will do 50-75 gallons a day for under 200 bucks - -should beinteresting as marine suppliers are charging a couple hundred for their smallest 10-20 gallon a day units, will keep you posted
