will also invest in a mag test kit as well

thanks people

This is definitely an extreme measure, but copper works VERY well. I had a bunch of algae on my rock wall that wouldn't scrub off. I got ich in my tank, used copper and the algae was completely gone in 2 days. Like I said and as you know, this is extreme and not good for the fish, but it will kill the algae.

Yeah.........but imo........that rock will never be good again for a reef. It will ALWAYS have traces of copper in it.

you could just put the chaeto in the display possibly rolled up in a mesh type of fencing or put it in the overflow with some lighting.

i am now starting the " donate boss live rock fund" , the causes of this fund have led to the need for helpful donations to replace the destructive and unslightly algae rock. Boss is now accepting donations, live rock can be sent to his place, cash amounts can be transferred to my accound and ill be sure that boss gets the money..... psh.... bahaha
