Really does work better than regular yeast! (For DIY CO2, but not so much for making bread). |
where did you pick yours up? microbrewery in your area? and what are the benefits? take longer to start but lasts much longer? |
We have a shop here in Salt Lake called "The Beer Nut", which sells brewing supplies including yeasts. It creates at least, if not more bubbles than regular yeast, lasts longer and does not take longer to get going, although i think it is a bit more expensive. |

I'd like to get my hands on some. The only bar I know in the area with their own microbrewery would probably look at me like I was from another planet if I asked for some. Guess I'll have to see if I can score some online. I barely get through 1/2 a jar before the baking yeast goes bad. At almost $8 a jar that's a bit of a waste. I'm sure buying the champagne stuff bulk would be more affordable than buying the nutrafin stuff though. What sort of package does it come in from that supply store? |

you keeping tye yeast cold after you open it? |
yeah but it only lasts 6 mos after opening, even refridg. don't really need a whole lot to get the bubbles I need in a 16gal. |
yeah |
