I am just starting a new tank. I was wondering to replace evaporated water, would you have to replace the water with more salt water or fresh water? I heard that you just put fresh water, but I was just double checking. Thanks.

RO is perfect........the reason you add fresh water is because salt doesn't evaporate......actually as your water evaporates your salt consentration goes up as its not as diluted.....so yes add straight fresh water .....and use RO if at all possable - as wel as in the rest of the tank too....it will help with algae controll and other issues caused by unwanted stuff in regular tap water
