today i won a Current usa 24 gallon aquapod in a raffel at my lfs. i was looking at its filtration system and i didnt notice a protein skimmer. do these require going out and buying a nano skimmer or will i be problem free without one?

if a aquapod is the same thing as a biocube they make a skimmer that fits in the back of it

yea, its the nano reef that current makes, is the little skimmers they sell a must?

it's only a must as much as a skimmer is in anyother tank.................the type and shape of the tank are irelevant........so depending on what your going do with it will dictate your need of a skimmer ...................lol wanna sell it?

haha, i thought about selling it, but im not going to, i filled it up last night, i guess current makes the worlds smallest protein skimmer, the fission nano skimmer, its only like 30$ on ebay, i guess ill pick one up, did you see the mag-racks? www.mag-racks.com

yeah they look cool...................im not ready to do frags yet ...but when the time comes they look like a good investment

yea, they have the mag-clip also, to feed the tangs, i hate the suction cup ones

i just bouht a Korlia nano power head that has a magnet mount but the inside is a light duty suction cup....i love it .............with the head running i can slowly move the it around by the magnet and not put my hand in there

BTW - -the Korlia power heads are incredable if you don't have one ...check em out, they use a propeller rather than a "jet" and the flow is more diverse and natural as apposed to the "jetstream" from a standard type PH

Hell yea man, i use the koralia 2, theyre incredible, and im buying the nano for the aquapod, i love the magnetic equipment, the mag-float, the mag-rack/clip and the koralia, all very conveinent items
