Can you dechlorinate water after adding it to saltwater tank

Postby toxicbiscuitj28 » Wed Jun 15, 2011 8:53 pm

Ok, so i got a 7g tank with sand and live rock fitted in and put water in without reading the back of
'sea salt' and had to take water back out. It says i have to dechlorinate the water before putting it in using 'Marine aqua safe' and then add the salt. I do not have the aqua safe, can i put the salted water in and dechlorinate it tomorrow? Or can i use my 'Freshwater aqua safe'?

if you want to be successfull dont use any products to treat tap water. get rodi water and it will save you alot of headache down the line. and id also do any bigger tank that you can afford a tank that small is really hard to keep stable. what are you planning on keeping ?
