My wife stays at home raising our son and soon to be son so it's hard for her to use my money. Says it doesn't feel the same. So I got my fishing license and I'm starting this for fathers day... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H9lUq4PDvKs project tomorrow! I actually am excited about this just finished cutting the pipes and caves. I use to think I'd like a foam background but thought it to be a waste this diy background is brilliant! I've got so many ideas running through my head. Starting on doing my 30 first as a tester. Then the 90 and then the big one which will be the most elaborate. I can't wait to post pics. I've not even been excited enough to do so in quite awhile. I love this hobby!

Here's the earliest pics I hurried to take. Took one and a half cans to make it look right. Looks like double what the guy in the video used lol. Paint will have to wait. But I'm looking into to just using krylon to save on cost if it can be used in conjunction with great stuff. Wow it really is some great stuff. I realized you have to deflate everything you spray or it really puffs up on the bigger gapped can. Lots of fun and can't wait to see it go in!

Here are the next few coats. I may decide to add some more colors but I just wanna see it in the tank! I can always add later I already have a few things I'll change for the next one.

Yes Natalie it's super fun. I've got all the pipes for the 90 now plus some foam insulation I can sculpt some rocks to cut down on the tubes. I've got something extremely special for the big tank!

Here it is in the tank! I need some more plants to shove in there that are longer but it's completely perfect even makes the room feel different it's crazy. All the fish seem to be fine. Hiding now since they hate me. The water's still a bit cloudy but it's looking great. Got pics of the 90 background workin on now!

This has been a super fun project and is relatively easy!. I've got only 2 days in the 90 gallon tank. Mostly dry time. I'm now on the hunt for different colors. Can't wait for the 125. I really have to come up with something Phenomenal.
