150g's of water... finally

Postby jdak702 » Sat Jan 23, 2010 1:09 pm

Feels like I've been waiting forever. I'm finally going to start pumping water into my new tank. Took the time and painted the stand. Fixed everything up and now just trying to make a final decision on where to put it. My 46g can move around if you take a little water out but this aquarium is going to be a permanent fixture. My RO/DI is 50g's a day so i will report back in a couple days:)

Fish only... I have a tomato clown and yellow tail damsal as of now. Dog faced puffer, niger trigger, pink tailed trigger are what i am looking at right now. Probably won't purchase any fish for a month or so... slow steps:)

I think a goby might do better with LR or in a reef. I'm looking for a little more aggressive. I wouldn't want one to become another's snack. The paint is taking forever to dry on the stand so might have to wait to set up tomorrow. I am filling jugs of water to get ahead though.

Triggers have really got my attention. So many to choose from and you can have more than one to a tank too...

Unfortunately, this tank didn't come with lights to support a reef. If i were to buy a light that could, it would more than double the money i've already spend:( Probably need medal halide to penetrate the deep water.
