Description: Standard size 55 gallon tank. Custom built stand using 2"X4" frame and 3/4" birch veneer on the outside with 45 degree angle up to the tank. Just using 2 24" coral-life 50/50 bulbs, will probably add a 48" or 2 more 24". Marineland C Series canister filter, located in the bottom. Stealth 75w heater, kept at 80 degrees. Penguin power head creates a nice current from the opposite side as the filter output. Aragonite and crushed coral for substrate. Piece of carved tufa in the middle with all sorts of local rocks for little cave areas.
Advice: Research and plan everything meticulously to start - and have patience. I feel good about my tank but still have a lot of time to wait for it to be truly impressive - mainly waiting for the fish to grow.
Fish Kept: Cichlids: Blue Johanni Electric Yellow Kenyi Leleupi Red Peacock Gold Head Compressicep Moori Kaiser II Catfish: Whiptail Synodontus Decorus
Corals/Plants: 2 Artificial 16" plants to conceal filter, heater, power head
Tank Size: 55 gallons
