This is Finley, my beautiful 2.5' Crowntail Male Betta. He's very friendly and active. Little guy is always swimming and showing off.
Update: He unexpectedly died about 2 months after this picture was taken, looks like it might have been a tumor. He was great, and this pic reached #2 overall. He's famous. :)

Quote: Is that a dorsal fin I see behind you?
About Yourself: I live in Southern California and am a psychotherapist. My interests include golf, poker, my 4 dogs and 5 cats, and now my fish. I don't remember why I got my first Betta about 3 years ago, but that got me hooked on having at least one Betta nearby. In recently learning that keeping Bettas in vases is actually cruel, I was exposed to the fish/aquarium hobby, fell in love with it, and got a real tank. Now I can't keep my arm out of it or my eyes off it.
Advice: Start slowly, buy the biggest tank you can properly support (weight/dimension wise) in your home, thoroughly research the fish's wants/needs before you buy them, and consider fishless cycling as a humane option.
Fish Kept: 37 gallon bow front main tank: 1 Red-Tail Black Shark (Valentino), 1 Pearl Gourami, 4 Platy, 8 False Julii Corydoras, and assorted Platy fry from time to time. 20 gallon tank: A red, white, and blue male Crown Tail Betta (Bruno), 2 Aftican Dwarf Frogs and 5 Panda Corydoras. 10 gallon tank: Starvin' Marvin, a blue Veil Tail Betta. 6.6 gallon long: one female Crown Tail Betta (Olivia), and 3 Otocinclus.
Plants Kept: Nearly all of mine are artificial. I'm starting to experiment with live plants and have added Java Moss, Willow Hygro, and Petite Anubias to my 10 gallon tank.
Tank Size: 37
Description: Main tank is a Perfecto 37 gallon glass bow front, 30L x 20H x 13D, 2 Penguin 150's, Marineland heater at 75-76 degrees. Small-sized black gravel. Established May 2008. Typical parameters: pH 7.8, Ammonia 0, Nitrites 0, Nitrates 10ppm.

About Yourself: I like having a fish tank, it's almost an addiction for me. I have to stop by a fish store almost every time I pass one. I also am a photographer, so taking pictures of my fish is a challenge that can be worth it in the end...

Fish Kept: one Angelfish, two red paradised gouramis, two zebra danios, three leopard danios, two scissortail rasboras, one featherfin synodontis, one julli cory, one farlowella catfish, one whiptail catfish, one bumblebee catfish, three otocinclus catfish, one marble loach, one black kuhli loach, one bolivian ram

About Yourself: Im am a 22 year old young man who is currently setting up a business setting up and maintaining aquariums in the north west of England, If you know anyone that may be interested please tell them to visit www.Rent-An-Aquarium.com
Advice: Keep it clean! I do 45-50% water changes every week without fail. Also over filter your tanks as much as you can, I put twice the filtration recommended, it keeps the water cleaner, safer and more movement, If you can afford another filter theres no disadvantage
Fish Kept: Theres a few too many to list in my tanks now but basically, Male Only Aulonocara and Haps - Cichlids
Plants Kept: Plastic Plants, Ive never been a big fan of real plants.
Tank Size: 90
