Description: 3ft - custom 32gal display with false back allowing for a further 18gal refugium at the back... initially used for bio-balls in a wet and dry setup however now the live rock and sand have taken over the balls have been removed and the area filled for use as a refuge... 35kg of live rock in the display 10kg of live rock to be added to the fuge with oolitic DSB for phytoplankton production and Nitrate reduction... Tank will be 2 months on 7/12/06 - so still a way to go...
Advice: For a reef Nitrate reduction and skimming is important / keep plenty of waterflow and plenty of Live Rock. Macro Algae for natural food and Nurtient export / along with differing sand beds for producing other important food for some Corals...
Fish Kept: Purple Firefish
Corals/Plants: Green OrganPipe / Yellow Toadstool Leather / Purple Finger Leather / Branching Excellence Button polyps and Xenia also some type of SPS growing naturally on Rock.
Tank Size: 32 gallons
